Heat Pumps

Put simply a heat pump takes the available heat from the ground or air surrounding a property and increases it to a more useful temperature for use in the home. This renewable source of heat can be used to create warm air or water (for space and central heating) as well as hot water (for both central heating and domestic hot water supply).

Air Source Heat Pump

AuroTHERM plus

aroTHERM plus

Air-to-water heat pump

  • Quiet operation makes it suitable for use in densely built-up terraced housing estates

  • Particularly powerful – with a flow temperature of up to 75°C

  • Suitable for all applications

  • Super low GWP due to natural refrigerant

Discover a future-proof solution today that is both powerful and environmentally friendly. The new aroTHERM plus uses the natural refrigerant, R290 to achieve higher flow temperatures of up to 75°C. Suitable for all applications this air source heat pump can use existing radiators and operates down to -25°C.

The aroTHERM plus can be tailored to the properties needs with a choice of indoor units.

The uniTOWER is an integrated 190 litre cylinder with hydraulic components which can easily provide sufficient hot water for the needs of a family of five, including the use of rain showers. Thanks to its space-saving dimensions, the system is the perfect choice for new buildings. Installed indoors, the uniTOWER is about the size of a fridge freezer and saves valuable space in the room where it's installed.

In the case of higher hot water demand, the aroTHERM plus can be used together with a wall-mounted hydraulic station and a wide range of accessories, including the uniSTOR heat pump cylinders and buffer tanks.

Very Quiet Operation

The aroTHERM plus Sound Safe System ensures that it is hardly audible during operation. With sound power as low as 54dB(A) the aroTHERM plus 3.5, 5, 7 and 12 kW outputs have been accredited with the Quiet Mark. The system can be placed close to a residential building, even in densely built-up areas.

Suitable for Retro Fits

The aroTHERM plus is suitable for use with underfloor heating, fan coils and radiators.

Environmentally Friendly

The aroTHERM plus works with the environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant, which has a particularly low global warming potential and is therefore exempt from the EU-wide F-gas regulation. In this way, you can safely use the heat pump solution over the long term.

Your customers will be interested not only in the eco-friendliness of the technology, but also in its climate-friendly energy consumption. The system can be combined with photovoltaic or solar heating systems, among others, and helps your customers to reduce their own CO2 consumption.

Efficient & Economic Energy Consumption

With a SCOP up to 5.03 the aroTHERM plus is highly efficient. The system delivers up to 25% more hot water and can be used with rain showers. It’s high performance also makes the aroTHERM plus particularly economical: testing has seen up to a 43% saving when replacing oil or LPG heaters in retrofit projects.

*The achieved or achievable energy savings depend on various factors (e.g. local electricity prices, previous model, heating setting, use, location, outdoor temperature) and may thus vary

Ground Source Heat Pump

230V and 400V ground source heat pump with Green iQ technology

  • MCS accredited and Quiet Mark approved*

  • Suitable for domestic and commercial properties

  • ErP rated A+++ when installed with VRC 700 or VRC 700f

  • High seasonal SCoP value

flexoTHERM can be connected to either a ground collector or borehole system to provide efficient generation of heating and hot water.

This option is suitable for applications where adequate space is available to incorporate a ground collector - or a borehole in situations where space may be restricted. In addition, flexoTHERM can be connected to a passive cooling module to assist with climate control in modern homes that are airtight. The passive cooling module works as a heat exchanger, removing the thermal energy stored in a building to discharge it into the ground. It is only suitable for homes with underfloor heating and fan coil systems and must work with a ground collector.

Passive cooling is possible at almost no cost with ground or water sources, passing warm heating circuit water against cool brine fluid to gently cool down the building.

Features & Benefits

  • Available in 230V and 400V - 230V heat pump is available in 5, 8 and 11kW models. 400V heat pump is available in 5, 8, 11, 15 and 19kW models.

  • More power, more efficiency - Integrated EVI super compressor, injects additional refrigerant into the compression cycle

  • Exceptionally quiet - With noise levels as low as a modern refrigerator - 42dB(A), flexoTHERM has earned the ‘Quiet Mark’ approval (excludes 230V range)

  • High quality and sustainable - Green iQ technology aids in future-proofing the product and ensures optimum efficiency, performance and sustainability

  • Ability to cascade up to seven flexoTHERM heat pumps - Suitable for larger domestic and commercial properties

  • Extended capabilities and flexibility - Modular design gives flexoTHERM greater sustainability and flexibility with accessories to enable connection to either air or water sources.

Ground Source Heat Pump

400V ground source heat pump

  • MCS accredited and Quiet Mark approved

  • Suitable for large domestic and commercial properties

  • Energy yield display

  • Can be installed in cascade

The geoTHERM range of ground source heat pumps can provide maximum comfort and efficiency, combined with simple installation, smooth operation and advanced diagnostics that have become synonymous with the Vaillant brand. geoTHERM is compatible with domestic properties, and with a range of larger outputs, can also serve commercial properties or large homes that operate on a three-phase electricity supply.

As part of a well-insulated home, the geoTHERM system provides the perfect solution for off-gas properties, using oil or LPG in particular, by accessing a sustainable energy source, helping to protect against fluctuating prices of fuel, and also eliminating the need for fuel storage.

Features & Benefits

  • Available in 400V - geoTHERM is available in four outputs - 22kW, 30kW, 38kW and 46kW

  • Evaporator with injection system - Provides increased heat transfer

  • Exceptionally quiet - Multi-stage Sound Insulation (MSI) for quiet operation, geoTHERM has earned the ‘Quiet Mark’ approval.

  • Compatible with underfloor heating and radiators - Works efficiently with low floor temperature heating systems, either underfloor or radiators sized to suit.

  • Ability to cascade - Suitable for larger domestic and commercial properties.

  • Maximum flow temperature of up to 62°C for domestic hot water - Perfect for central heating and hot water requirements.
